Hues of pastel pinks and blues cover the spring edition of Emerald, McCarthy & Stone’s latest issue of their lifestyle magazine.
Landing on doorsteps just in time for the long weekend, the Easter special is blooming with tips and treats for making the most of family time over Easter, the top towns to visit this year and a guide to holidaying in the Greek isles.
Among fascinating life stories of McCarthy & Stones customers – including a profile piece on Graham Oakley, children’s author and illustrator – and the latest news from Head Office, the readers can indulge in seasonal recipes and read their way through the books we love this spring. And of course, we couldn’t resist mentioning the most glamourous gardening event of the year, the world-famous RHS Flower Show, who and what to look out for in the plant-packed pavilion this year.
The story in the spotlight however is McCarthy & Stone’s charity of the year, Beanstalk. Inspiring the next generation of readers while raising £100,000 for the cause, staff and homeowners up and down the country have actively been fundraising to help children build brighter futures. Inspired by the intergenerational project piloted here in Sherborne last Autumn, it has been a pleasure to help form an heartening partnership that will help communities everywhere. The cherry on top of the cake – we met Channel 4’s charming Jon Snow. Find out more here.
