This time three weeks ago was the morning after the glittering night before, when we rather excitedly accompanied the very talented and charming Gennaro Contaldo to pick up an incredibly prestigious award from the Italian Embassy, alongside his dear friend Jamie Oliver.
Hosted by Ambassador Trombetta within the opulent walls of the Italian Embassy, an awe-inspiring London townhouse overlooking Grosvenor Square, Gennaro and Jamie were accepting the Order of the Star of Italy – an admirable accolade bestowed upon those who promote the culture of Italy abroad. It came as no surprise that both Gennaro and Jamie were recipients of the high-status medal, having witnessed their devotion to delicious, authentically made Italian food over the years. Gennaro has passionately endorsed Italian cuisine in the UK and beyond since the early 80’s through his restaurant, books and TV shows. We’re proud to call him an ambassador for one of our clients, and he brings such an infectious energy to everything he does.
As expected, the evening was filled with great food, extraordinary company, and much laughter. We were delighted to be invited by Gennaro and it was certainly one of those events that we’ll remember forever. Congratulazioni Gennaro!
