We joined forces with the marketing team at Dorset Museum to document the largest Kids Takeover Day in Museums.
Photographing and filming the event to distribute to local press, Lolly were treated to an exclusive, first look of the Museum currently undergoing redevelopment. The footage from the day will be used throughout the next year across different platforms in the lead up to the new Museum’s opening next summer.
The end of 2019 was perfectly timed to start reigniting the excitement with local school children. The national takeover day is run by ‘Kids in Museums’ and sees students up and down the country engage in job roles in the museums and galleries.
With Dorset Museum currently shut for the multi-million-pound development, they saw it as an opportunity to teach the students of Dorchester Middle School what roles exactly are involved in building a museum fit for the future.
With a talk from Achesons the construction team and activities timetabled throughout the day, 600 children took part finishing with an exhibition of their work hosted in the Museum’s amazing Inflatable Museum for family and friends.
Lolly supported the event with PR, photography and filming.
